SOUND DESIgn

Sound design is the art of creating soundscapes for a piece of art, film, TV shows, live theater, commercials, podcasts, and video art. It involves capturing, manipulating, or generating sound. Sound design elements can enhance the narrative, evoke emotions, and provide a rich auditory environment for the audience.

Sound Editorial

Sound editorial is a post-production process that involves organizing and manipulating recorded sounds to suit a visual narrative. Sound editors, also known as track layers or supervising sound editors, are responsible for the finished sound in movies and television shows. They work with a variety of audio sources, including dialogue, sound effects, music, and more, to ensure that the sounds blend seamlessly with the visuals.

dialogue editorial

Dialogue editing is a post-production sound process that involves assembling, synchronizing, and editing dialogue in film, television, and video games. Dialogue editors ensure that dialogue audio is clean and free of production sound problems. They may fill in noisy sections with cleaner room tone or replace lines with audio from other takes. Dialogue editors work to smooth out an actor's voice performance.

adr/voice over

ADR stands for Automated Dialogue Replacement, or sometimes Additional Dialogue Replacement, and is a post-production process where actors re-record dialogue in a studio after filming. ADR is often used to fix poor sound quality or to make small audio adjustments that would be impractical to fix on set due to budget constraints. The new dialogue must be perfectly synced with the original shot's mouth movements to look natural.

foley

Foley is a technique for creating custom sound effects in post-production to enhance the audio quality of a film, TV show, or video game. Foley artists use props and other practical methods to record everyday sounds that are in sync with the picture on screen. These sounds can include footsteps, clothing swishing, breaking glass, or a sword being drawn from a sheath.

foreign delivery/ M&E

M&E stands for "Music and Effects" in film, and it's a mix of a film's music and effects stems without dialogue or other spoken words. M&E tracks are often used for dubbing a film into another language, cutting trailers, or for other marketing and publicity purposes

DOLBY ATMOS MIXING

Dolby Atmos mixing is a post-production audio process that uses stems from a finished song to create a 3D audio environment. This advanced audio technology adds height to traditional surround sound by using overhead speakers and movable sound objects to place and move sounds in three dimensions. The result is an immersive experience that can make listeners feel like they're in the middle of the action.
